The end of the season at NSWO means the Summer is here and a lot of players will not be back until September. Although the group goes on tour in a few days the whole band will not play again until the new season after the summer break.
I have been impressed by the work done by this group in the last year. They have played a lot of concerts and have made the CD, which has some really good moments. They have consolidated the work of the past five years which has transformed them into a reliable and musical group, brimming with confidence and playing really well.
WHEN, five years ago, Keiron Anderson first took charge of Nottingham Symphonic Wind Orchestra, he inherited a versatile band with major awards to its credit.
But his training has gradually endowed it with still greater finesse and colour. Their summer concert in the air-conditioned Djanogly Recital Hall yielded orchestral delights in abundance.
